The girls’ hostel is a licensed shelter home for needy and orphan girls and runs under the Care and Protection of Children Act, 2015.
The home accommodates 26 permanent girls attending the day school while being raised in a family atmosphere. Besides the long-term residents, many girls under eighteen live temporarily in the shelter home. These girls are under police custody or on the order of the Child Welfare Committee. They have family (caste) problems: domestic abuse, have run away from home, or are nonconsensual child brides.
The shelter home is entirely dependent on private donations. Average yearly costs are ₹930,000, €10.000, or $11.500.
